Description:

1. SITUATION: Intelligence reports that enemy force has an underground compound to be used as a manufacturing and holding facility for chemical weapons. Intelligence also reported the existence of a short-range missile carrier vehicle. We are certain that they are planning the attack by the missile equipped with chemical component.This poses an immediate threat to both US and friendly forces in the area.

2. MISSION: Locate and question the informant at vicinity grid 20297813. Learn entry points and the current locationof the chemical material. Once inside the compound, capture chemical material container. And destroy the missile carrier vehicle if possible. After securing the chemical material, proceed to the extraction point. Also, The enemy aircraft is important target to prevent commander from escaping. Once the mission is completed, this area will be suppressed by the friendly forces.

INFORMATION

Feature:
Random objectives, random extraction points, destroyable objectives.
Random enemy spawn points.Timed enemy spawn.
Timed enemy reinforcement.(with BMP-1)

Blackhawk coming for extraction. (south-east extraction point)

Stryker vehicle in south tunnel extraction point.

Notice:
AI is not enough on singleplay mode.
Most of enemy soldiers are triggered spawn.

Destroyable objectives are not necessary to win. But pretty fun.

Nice Job ! Nice Coop Map !
The Map runs on the server with the haven 2710!
The server runs as Lan, one can only over the AAO CONSOLE connecten!
In the AAO Game the CONSOLE with Ö open and then open 81.169.181.214:

Looks good dued, good job. I will have to give it a try later tonight. I
have to say, AI maps are cool but after a while they get old. Have you
thought about making a multiplayer version too or does the layout not
promote team vs team?

Nice job soldier!

Good FPS for a Coop map. I played alone on a local server and was already
fun, specially with sniper slot.

The map is well constructed, with nice terrain details, lots of indoors...

Keep the good job.

I usualy never talk or vote up maps here cause im to busy creating my own
map...but i gotta say u did a good job, i hate coop maps and i download
maps mostly to borrow some item on them, but we played a couple round me
and my friend and it was great..at least there are not like 300 AI every 20
meters like the others Ai map ... and many things are great like the obj
were u talk to the guy in the truck or the other one were hes relaxing on
the couch...its great! I love the purple room the doors are awesome...only
the underground part with all the tanks and stuf i dont like...Really good
map its the only map i voted up so far ;)

Alright i'll test drive this one to see ... are there notable changes or is
it more about the bugs getting fixed and stuff? you sould tell about it
when a new release come...
But personaly i really think that this one is much better then
redemption...u should have 1025 votes too :o) lol

I bloody hate coop maps but this i love, nice realistic feel to it no
loads of bots like most coop which lowers frame rate and gives killer lag
so the average computer just cant handle it eg prison stryke anyway good
job ill be voting.

Great work 151Alpha

I play a lot of coop maps with my friends and the
reponse to this new addition is all very positive
everyone really enjoys the game play and the way it looks is most
definately a plus.

We all hope it gets Fully Mission Capable Soon. but there seems to be some
crazy delay in that happening
for any none dev maps out there.

You've got my vote just wish i could vote more than
once.

team! Maybe then we could get some maps without glitches.

151Alpha, great map! It seems very well thought out and designed. Only 1
thing to comment on. It seems that the decolayers (the ferns and grasses)
are set to render in front of the trees, which are static meshes if I'm not
mistaken. This makes the ferns pop into view, even though they should be
hidden behind the tree vegetation, which should be blocking your line of
sight. Also, it seems that you can see the decolayers through most of the
trees, but some trees seem to be working correctly. If this is a problem
with the decolayers, there is an setting that might fix this in TerrainInfo
Properties -> TerrainInfo -> DecoLayers -> DrawOrder. For more info see:
http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/CreatingDecoLayers.html. However, if this is
a problem with the individual trees, you may need to find a similar setting
in the StaticMesh Properties. Well, good luck fixing the map. Keep up the
good work, soldier. Hooah!!

my hole clan has been playing this... a very well thought out map and well
exicuted.

The main comment out of all of them was this. Allow the weapons depots guns
to be used. you run out of ammo very fast on this and more ammo would help.
Doing this would also allow you to make all objectives required as you
would have all the ammo to make it happen.

Perhaps make some more AI outside also with the addition of more ammo...
make it a bit harder to get to it and more targets for those snipers,
otherwise the sniper is a bit useless on this map.

otherwise, probly the closest map i have seen to getting full honor man...

Can anyone say why our server is now not letting us use this map. We have
downloaded it and put it on our server, but when we join, we get the 'you
are not qualified to play this' message.

It worked a week ago..... strange.......

open your tours.ini file and scroll down.
search for the "Sledgehammer" section. and change the number from 56 to 2,
as below.

This is a GREAT A.I. map! Very nice job. We started playing this one
tonight and all agree on how good it is. Redemption was our A.I. map of
choice but I see Sledgehammer taking that spot! Very challenging, you need
a good squad to beat this one! Hope you are working on another map soon.

my clan and its allies luv this map!!!! great job on this map!!!
we sometimes have up to 3 servers running on this map...
wish it had less fog tho..

Hi Alpha,
Your Sledgehammer coop map rock's m8 !
It's very realistic, especially indoor buildings with many details.
Very interesting briefing and objectives.
Great stuff !!! Congrats.
I hope your job will be recognize and choosen in next update.
Right now, I can't join any servers who run it cos each time DCBC says :
not in download actualy ... ??
I've tried it in solo but not so funny (V2 and V3215).
I didn't find where to DL the SE version.
I want to try it with brothers in arm, much more realistic.

Yep... nice map indeed. Played it with digger and a team of like 5. Funny
thing was it was harder for us to win then than it was later with just 2 of
us. Lucky one of us was a server admin so we could force class the weapons
needed. I think suppressed SF weapons do the job much better than is there
now. Have to say, you don't really notice the Response forces as you're
extracting. I expected a dozen of them on the way out. When I left via the
tunnel there were only 2 at it's entrance. When I got picked up by the helo
there weren't any at all. Disappointing that leaving was so easy. Very
happy that we finally won :D

I've been playing aa since v1.0. I'm very critical of where many of the
official maps are going. sledgehammer is by far THE best AA map ever. It's
level of interaction is unprecedented and I can only hope more maps of this
quality emerges soon.

But if only for sledgehammer, the mission editor was a worthwhile addition
indeed!

Please create more maps of this caliber.
